Description

You will own the quality assurance process for assigned product areas, ensuring reliability across UI and backend components.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and cases for UI and backend systems.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing on web and mobile platforms.
• Conduct backend testing, including API validation, microservices verification, and data integrity checks.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability before development begins.
• Identify, document, and track defects with full reproduction steps and evidence in Jira.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on QA experience in manual testing across UI and backend systems.
• Strong skills in test planning and test design methodologies.
• Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman.
• Experience with SQL for data validation and integrity checks.
• Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and management.
• Knowledge of Java or JavaScript.
• Experience with backend testing, including microservices verification.

Preferred Skills

• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems like GitLab.
