QA Engineer

You will validate data pipelines and test BI applications from requirements through to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into comprehensive test cases by collaborating with Business Analysts and BI Developers.
• Validate data sources, ETL extraction, transformation logic, and target table loading.
• Design, document, and execute test plans, test harnesses, and scenarios for manual and automated testing.
• Test dashboards and reports using BI tools, ensuring accuracy against source data.
• Track defects and manage test cases using designated tracking tools.

Required Skills

• 2.5+ years experience as a QA Engineer, BI, or 4.5+ years as Senior QA Engineer, BI.
• Extensive experience writing and troubleshooting SQL Queries against Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Hands-on understanding of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modelling concepts.
• Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience with QA methodologies including Waterfall, V-Model, Agile, and Scrum.
• Familiarity with ETL Source to Target Mapping Documents and testing ETL code.
• Experience with Black Box, Smoke, Functional, SIT, E2E, Regression, and UAT testing types.
• Proficiency in using TFS or JIRA for test case management and tracking.
• Any Graduate degree.
