Description

You will test and ensure the quality of Java-based microservices and legacy applications undergoing modernization and migration, including containerization on OpenShift.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for Java microservices and legacy applications using Jakarta EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing on legacy and modernized applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture, business logic, and migration requirements.
• Design and implement automated test suites for APIs and backend services.
• Identify, log, and track defects, working with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience testing Java-based applications, specifically with Jakarta EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with functional and automation testing of microservices and legacy applications.
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Experience using API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks including JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, and REST-assured.
