Description

You will own the implementation of performance testing experience across the Byte Platform suite.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Support, Product Management, and DevOps teams to execute performance tests and resolve issues.
• Design and execute performance test strategies based on project requirements.
• Analyze test results and establish models for response time, throughput, and SLA metrics.
• Grow performance tooling and testing processes to simulate real-world customer scenarios.
• Identify bottlenecks across hardware, software, network, and disk IO, and develop capacity planning predictions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering.
• 3+ years experience with code-first performance testing tools such as k6 or Gatling.
• 3+ years experience with performance analysis platforms like DataDog.
• Advanced coding skills in Javascript or Typescript.
• Extensive experience with microservices architecture, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience testing APIs and Web applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Kubernetes, covering monitoring and scaling.
• Proven ability to conduct profile/baseline, load, stress, soak, and spike testing.
