Description

You will design, execute, and maintain performance and non-functional requirement (NFR) test plans for distributed cloud applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, and end-to-end tests to validate throughput, latency, and resource usage.
• Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and perform root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Create system performance benchmarks and model system behavior under various load conditions.
• Build, upgrade, and maintain testbeds and test environments.
• Document, track, and triage defects through the full JIRA lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in performance and load testing for distributed architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong programming knowledge in Java, including threads, exceptions, I/O, and memory management.
• Hands-on experience with JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in Linux, OS configuration, and debugging/profiling tools.
• Experience testing REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency with Git and GitLab.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
• Familiarity with time series tools like Prometheus or InfluxDB.
