Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Test Engineer with strong banking domain experience to support end-to-end testing of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in manual testing, test planning and execution, SQL validation, and Agile delivery environments. Prior experience working with BMO or similar banking institutions is highly preferred.

Naperville / Chicago, IL (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

Experience

• 6–8 years of overall QA / Testing experience
• 5+ years of hands-on manual testing
• Banking or financial services experience mandatory

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute end-to-end manual test cycles
• Develop test plans, test cases, test data, and execution strategies
• Perform system analysis, assessment, and validation of software applications
• Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing
• Validate backend data using complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Identify, document, and track defects using HP ALM and JIRA
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Ensure compliance with QA standards, testing best practices, and data protection requirements
• Support UAT cycles and production validation as required

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of manual testing experience
• Strong experience in test planning, execution, and defect management
• Hands-on experience with HP ALM and JIRA
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Prior banking domain experience (mandatory)
