Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Define Testing Standards and Strategies:
- Proven expert in plan strategy and development / risk matrix development / requirements traceability, etc.
- Create testing plans, including individual testing phases, and ensure the team meets the deadlines set forth in those plans.
- Evaluate the team throughout the life of the project to identify areas where improvement can be made.
- Solid understanding of Project Life Cycle, Project Management, SDLC methods
- Ability to interpret complex requirements and translate to use cases/test scenarios and strategies.
- Develop and implement test plans.
- Add appropriate test cases to the Test Suites
- Analyze requirements during the requirements analysis phase of projects.
- Keep track of the new requirements from the Project and their impact to testing.
- Analyzing user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Track and report upon testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines, etc.
- Act as the single point of contact between developers for iterations and deployment activities.
- Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained.
- Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all best practices processes and procedures relating to testing as defined by the organization.
- Log and/or manage defects in the defect tracking tool identified for the project.
Technical Skills/Experience
- Desired experience in testing on administrative systems for life insurance and have a life insurance knowledge base
- Expertise with SQL/querying – analyzing data from test to running automated compares for regression
- Good working knowledge of Database and Integration testing
- Expertise on Test Data Management
- Expertise with testing data migration from Multiple Database sources
