Description

You will own the accessibility testing lifecycle for the Client Gateway System to ensure compliance with federal assistance program standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute ADA testing for web applications serving SNAP, TANF, WIC, LIHEAP, and Childcare systems.
• Manage and prioritize critical ADA defects using standardized logging templates and tracking systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert for accessibility, providing project-based training and guidance to development teams.
• Support usability testing and research to improve digital product accessibility.
• Lead QA testers by providing technical solutions and applying best practices for conformance.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within agile projects.
• In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.0, 2.1 (Level AA), WAI-ARIA, and ADA standards.
• Proficiency with assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, and Voiceover.
• Experience using automated accessibility tools such as WAVE.
• Ability to perform manual and automated testing across multiple devices, browsers, and operating systems.
• Capability to write testing rules, standards, and scripts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of basic or technical accessibility certification courses.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification.
• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
• Previous experience with Health and Human Services Systems.
