Description

Own end-to-end quality assurance for backend ETL systems, ensuring data integrity and application reliability through manual and automated testing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts, utilities, and data sets using Python and Shell Scripting to execute complex test plans.
• Perform rigorous ETL testing, including usability, performance, reliability, scalability, and security validation for total system health.
• Collaborate directly with software engineers to embed quality standards early in the development lifecycle and support client-reported issue resolution.
• Manage daily testing activities, control timelines, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders to drive defect-free releases.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies in support of the test lead or manager.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a backend ETL tester with proven hands-on expertise in Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
• Strong proficiency in Python for test automation and utility development.
• Advanced SQL knowledge for database validation and data integrity checks.
• Experience with Shell Scripting for automation and workflow management.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum processes and test management tools like Jira and Zephyr Scale.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or M365 Copilot.
• Knowledge of SAFe and Value Stream management principles.
