Description

Administer Progress database environments supporting QAD applications across on-premise and cloud architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer Progress Database versions 9, OE 10, and higher for SE and EE instances.
• Manage SE databases for on-premise environments and EE for cloud-hosted instances on QAD's cloud.
• Perform Linux, Unix, and AIX administration tailored for Progress database requirements.
• Coordinate with Networking and Firewall teams to ensure infrastructure stability and connectivity.
• Provide regular technical reporting to keep stakeholders updated on task progress and system health.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in Progress Database (Version 9, OE 10, and upwards).
• Experience managing QAD Applications SE and EE environments.
• Proficiency in Linux, Unix, and AIX administration.
• Knowledge of QAD's cloud environments.
• Ability to interface with networking and firewall teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
