Description

You will own automation test flows for Omni Spec, focusing on backend test automation for API and Kafka-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Astra Automation to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Develop scripts for a backend platform to manage component, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Generate unit, contract, and functional test cases from selected files or code using available frameworks.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, identify defects, and provide detailed reporting for issue resolution.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to define and refine test strategies.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software testing based on the SDLC lifecycle.
• 3+ years of experience writing automation scripts using Java.
• Development experience with Java and Python.
• Proficiency with Selenium and REST-API.
• Experience with load, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, Karate, and Wiremock.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Postman and DX Contract Testing.
• Ability to lead with minimal guidance and suggest process optimizations.
