Description

You will own application testing, validation, and defect tracking for enterprise Java-based systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements to develop test plans, cases, and scenarios.
• Execute manual testing cycles on Java applications and distributed platforms.
• Validate database results using DB2 and PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity.
• Identify, log, and track defects using Jira throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare program-level documentation and support UAT and production readiness.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in QA testing for Java applications.
• Strong proficiency in database validation with DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with test case creation and execution.
• Proficient in defect tracking using Jira.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of Java programming.
• Experience with AWS, Kofax, or Mainframe systems (IBM/DELL, JCL).
• Previous experience with Department of Labor (DOL) projects.
