Overview

seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst – Consultant to support its Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modernization program.

This role is part of a large-scale transformation initiative aimed at improving healthcare outcomes through innovative systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing, healthcare/Medicaid domain, and SDLC processes, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, and user interface testing to ensure application reliability and stability
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and QA/UAT processes
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and test cases
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution
• Design and implement manual and automated testing scripts
• Participate in defect triage, retesting, and validation
• Create and maintain QA documentation, reports, and status updates
• Support negative testing and usability testing for applications
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, governance policies, and best practices
• Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections to ensure quality compliance
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience translating business requirements into test cases and scenarios
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably Medicaid domain
• Strong ability to track, analyze, and report defects and testing status
• Experience with test design tools and methodologies
• Hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes (Waterfall & Agile)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence
• 5+ years working in large enterprise or e-business environments
• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Prior experience in government or healthcare projects

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Healthcare, or related field
