Description

You will own the end-to-end quality improvement process for server and client .NET applications, ASP.NET websites, and embedded Linux software.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test cases and scenarios at the user interface level.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware problems by analyzing logs for errors, failures, and message flows.
• Manage software configuration activities, including making and deploying software builds using trunk/main and branch workflows.
• Monitor and maintain lab infrastructure and support various testing environments including QA, labs, and production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ferret out requirements and user stories to drive test planning.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of progressive experience in software testing and executing test strategies.
• 5+ years of experience writing manual test cases for desktop applications and websites.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps pipelines, test plans, test suites, and defect management.
• 1-2 years of SQL experience.
• Experience with configuration management terminology and workflows.
• Ability to work in an office or lab environment to manage and test physical equipment.
• Advanced experience with MS Word and Excel.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30lbs and use hand tools for lab activities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux, Splunk, or UFT automation.
• Knowledge of SharePoint or railroad industry experience.
