Description

You will own the quality assurance lifecycle for custom applications, with a focus on GIS components and business-end user validation. You will operate within an Agile framework to ensure timely, planned software testing while identifying and reporting bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Create and document test plans, execute tests, and report anomalies from the perspective of business end users.
• Collaborate with business partners, PMO, and vendor technical teams to understand and validate business requirements.
• Assist subject matter experts and business analysts in developing UAT test scenarios and preparing UAT instructions for end users.
• Participate in defect triage meetings, demos, and provide weekly status reports to the QA Testing Lead.
• Ensure applications are ready for UAT by maintaining Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and documenting test results.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience testing custom applications in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects.
• Strong proficiency in GitHub and ServiceNow for version control and defect management.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Ability to perform manual and/or automated testing, including system, regression, performance, load, security, and business continuity testing.
• Skilled in reviewing system specifications (SRS, BRD, design docs) and creating detailed test cases and scripts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience preparing sample data and facilitating UAT activities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with public sector projects.
• Mobile device testing experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CSQA, CAST, CSTE, or CMSQ.
