Description

You design, develop, and maintain automated functional and regression test suites using Python and Squish, ensuring scalable and reusable automation libraries.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration test suites to validate software against business requirements.
• Design and build reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and utilities to improve maintainability and support continuous integration.
• Configure and manage Windows-based automation environments on VMware, ensuring high availability for nightly and release validation executions.
• Perform root cause analysis for automation failures and software defects, collaborating with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Monitor automation metrics, maintain Jira dashboards, and support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in test automation and quality assurance.
• Proficiency in Python for developing automation scripts and framework components.
• Hands-on experience with Squish test automation tool.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Jira for sprint tracking and defect management.
• Experience managing Windows-based automation environments and executing tests on VMware virtual machines.
• Ability to analyze manual test cases and convert them into reliable automated scripts.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers throughout the SDLC.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex automation and environment-related failures.
• Ability to review Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) for feasibility analysis.
• Experience preparing quality metrics and automation status reports for stakeholders.
