Description

Own the quality engineering strategy, automation frameworks, and architectural standards for distributed systems and microservices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable automation frameworks using Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript that other engineers rely on.
• Design test strategies covering unit, integration, API, performance, and security testing across the test pyramid.
• Define and enforce quality standards, ADRs, and guides that drive adoption across multiple engineering teams.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) with parallelization and test orchestration.
• Review production code and make technology trade-off decisions to balance speed, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior SDET, Principal QA, or Test Architect role.
• Expert proficiency in at least one core language: Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Deep hands-on experience designing automation frameworks with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or Appium.
• Strong API and service-layer testing experience using REST Assured, Karate, Postman/Newman, or Pact.
• Proficient with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) and pipeline design.
• Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized test environments.
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native testing patterns.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture testing challenges.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical background.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling, Locust) and security testing (OWASP, SAST/DAST).
• Ability to influence without authority and drive adoption of quality standards across cross-functional teams.
