Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer for Tampa, FL (Remote). You will own test automation frameworks and ensure software quality across frontend and backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Selenium automation frameworks using Core Java.
• Execute backend test automation using Rest Assured or Karate for API testing.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for database validation against Oracle, DB2, and Snowflake.
• Manage testing workflows and defect tracking in JIRA and Microfocus ALM.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Expert proficiency in Core Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured or Karate for API automation.
• Strong SQL skills with JDBC/JPA for Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake databases.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins.
• Proficiency in JIRA and Microfocus ALM for test management.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, multi-timezone team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Bitbucket and Git version control systems.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture and backend testing strategies.
