Description

Own the end-to-end quality assurance lifecycle for video compression hardware and embedded systems, ensuring reliability and usability across design, manufacturing, and release phases.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) for products, firmware releases, and bug fixes.
• Define and support functional manufacturing test procedures and final system tests prior to customer shipment.
• Reproduce, track, and resolve hardware and software issues reported by customers or internal engineering teams.
• Produce comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, results, issue reports, user guides, and release notes.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or embedded systems testing.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, including shell scripting and Python or Lua.
• Strong understanding of IP networks and video streaming protocols.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, VLC, and ONVIF device manager.
• Ability to handle fragile hardware prototypes and perform basic electronic rework or soldering.
• BS, BA, or Associate’s Degree in a technical field required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with video-related embedded systems (DVRs, cameras, IP phones).
• Background in hardware assembly, electronics, or technical writing.
