Quality Engineer

You will manage quality assurance standards throughout the design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Apply GD&T principles and ASME Y14.5M standards to ensure part compliance.
• Utilize hand metrology equipment for precise component measurement and inspection.
• Execute quality tools including APQO, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and PPAP.
• Conduct process capability studies to monitor and improve manufacturing consistency.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role.
• Proficiency with hand metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocks.
• Experience with surface plate layouts and optical comparators.
• Strong understanding of the x, y, z coordinate system.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Deep understanding of ASME Y14.5M standards.
• Practical application of APQO, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and PPAP.
• Broad knowledge of Quality Assurance, Design, and Manufacturing Processes.

Preferred Skills

• CMM machine operation or programming experience.
• Quality Engineer or Quality Technician certification.
