Description

Lead the test automation strategy and execution for complex systems including mainframes and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall test automation strategy, roadmap, and framework governance.
• Lead test design activities, including scenarios, cases, and coverage across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Own test planning: scope definition, effort estimation, sprint/release planning, and automation backlog management.
• Oversee manual and automated test execution to ensure timely, stable, and repeatable runs.
• Mentor automation engineers and drive continuous improvement in test processes and delivery quality.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering and test automation.
• Strong Java coding skills to build automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, BDD Cucumber, or similar UI automation tools.
• Experience validating backend APIs using Rest Assured, Postman, or Karate.
• Experience testing frontend, backend, database, and legacy systems like Mainframes/AS400 (iSeries).
• Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (data driven, keyword driven, hybrid).
• Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
