Description

Define and drive the test automation strategy and roadmap for the engineering team.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead test design activities including scenario creation, test case development, and coverage strategy across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Own test planning by defining scope, estimating effort, managing sprint/release planning, and maintaining the automation backlog.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, data-driven, and keyword-driven automation frameworks.
• Oversee manual and automated test execution to ensure timely, stable, and repeatable test runs.
• Mentor automation engineers and upskill team members on best practices and framework adoption.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering or test automation.
• Proficiency in Java for building robust automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and BDD/Cucumber architecture.
• Experience validating backend APIs using Rest Assured or Postman.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of testing frontend, backend, database, and legacy systems like Mainframes/AS400 (iSeries).
• Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating automation scripts directly with CI/CD pipelines.
• ISTQB or Advanced Test Automation Certificates.
