You own quality and food safety operations at the New Century, KS site.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality and Food Safety Systems compliant with FSMA and company standards.
• Lead the Food Safety Team to ensure GFSI compliance and manage microbiological programs.
• Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audits, including AIB and FSSC 22000, and manage corrective actions.
• Monitor and analyze key quality KPIs such as Cost of Non-Quality and Right-First-Time.
• Supervise the Quality team and drive continuous improvement using WCM methodologies.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety within food manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing QA in an FDA or USDA-regulated plant.
• Expertise implementing GFSI schemes such as SQF, BRC, or FSSC 22000.
• Strong understanding of microbiological programs, compliance systems, and quality metrics.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence organizational levels.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of team supervision or management experience.
