Description

You will own the development of data pipelines and the analysis of mission-critical datasets for government clients.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom translation, extraction, and loading processes for complex structured and unstructured datasets.
• Support government data acquisition, analysis, and sharing efforts.
• Decompose technical problems and troubleshoot system and dataflow issues.
• Prepare and label data for analytics workflows.
• Work independently to meet client objectives while collaborating with team members.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Current active TS/SCI security clearance.
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Experience with big data systems and complex data structures.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux systems; primary environment is macOS.
• Familiarity with log formats including JSON and XML.
• Ability to adapt to technical complexities and learn quickly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Accumulo.
• Experience developing with Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with data flow solutions like Kafka or NiFi.
