Description

You will test and configure RAN network elements within 4G and 5G architectures.

Responsibilities

• Configure DU, CU, packet core, and UE parameters including IMSI and keys.
• Execute log collection for DU, CU, and UE or UE emulators.
• Perform high-level log analysis to support network testing.
• Monitor RAN performance parameters specifically for the DU.
• Utilize EMS for mobile infrastructure management via OAM interfaces and data models.

Required Skills

• Hands-on testing experience with RAN network elements such as DU and BBU (macro or small cell).
• Deep understanding of 4G and 5G mobile/cellular network architecture.
• Knowledge of RAN layers (L1, L2, and L3) and L1-L2 interfaces.
• Working experience with RRU and UE emulators from Viavi or Keysight.
• Proficiency with UE log collection tools such as QXDM.
• Familiarity with interface protocols between RAN and the core network.
• Knowledge of end-to-end call flows at a high level.
• Exposure to EMS, OAM interfaces, protocols, and RAN KPIs.
• Awareness of O-RAN FH interfaces, specifically WG4.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with O-RAN interface testing between RRU and DU.
