Description

You will lead the transition of operational and engineering tasks within a RancherOS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and optimize the existing RancherOS environment.
  • Train team members through shadowing, reverse shadowing, and structured learning sessions.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and run books for user management, node management, and space allocation.
  • Integrate RancherOS with Kubernetes to manage upgrades, patches, and software deployment.
  • Automate infrastructure processes using Ansible and other management tools.

Required Skills

  • 5 to 8 years of active experience with RancherOS.
  • 9+ years of IT experience.
  • Expertise in UNIX environments, specifically Red Hat and Ubuntu.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and experience working in Kubernetes environments.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and ESXi.
  • Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower.
  • Experience with Git, Windows OS, and NetApp storage.
  • Ability to create detailed operational documentation and run books.
  • Proven experience in automation and software build/deployment system optimization.
