Description

You will optimize, manage, and automate the RancherOS and Kubernetes infrastructure while training the team on operational procedures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, investigate, and optimize the existing RancherOS environment.
• Integrate RancherOS with Kubernetes to manage upgrades, patches, and software deployment.
• Automate infrastructure processes using Ansible and other management tools.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for user, node, and space management.
• Train team members through shadowing and reverse shadowing to ensure knowledge transfer.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of active experience with RancherOS.
• 9+ years of total IT experience.
• Strong expertise in UNIX environments, specifically Red Hat and Ubuntu.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and working within Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Tower.
• Knowledge of VMware, ESXi, and NetApp storage.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS and Git.
• Ability to create detailed run books and operational documentation.
• Experience with automation and software build/deployment systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in integrating RancherOS with existing Kubernetes clusters.
