Description

You will modularize equation solver code bases and evolve APIs to improve integration and usability.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Drive componentization and modularization efforts within existing equation solver code bases.
• Design and evolve APIs to improve usability and integration.
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate technical requirements into design specifications.
• Manage packaging, build systems, and DevOps tasks to streamline deployment.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues discovered by QA or product support.

Required Skills

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of experience, or a Master's Degree.
• Proficiency in Fortran and C/C++.
• Strong experience with software design, modularization, and API development.
• Experience with CMake, Azure DevOps, Conan, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of data structures and data handling algorithms.
• Ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Exposure to numerical computing, linear algebra, and HPC environments.
• Familiarity with solver libraries such as PETSc, Trilinos, Pardiso, or MUMPS.
