Description

You will develop and maintain high-speed flow modeling functionality within Ansys CFD, focusing on solver infrastructure and numerics.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure and numerics for Density-Based solvers and DSMC methods.
• Maintain solver infrastructure for parallel and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
• Implement programming models for algorithms on GPUs.
• Investigate bugs, perform release testing, and provide beta support for assigned products.
• Research problems identified by QA or product support to develop technical solutions.

Required Skills

• Experience in CFD code development.
• Practical R&D experience in DSMC method development.
• Practical R&D experience in density-based solution methods.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• BS in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical), Applied Mathematics, or related thermal sciences with 2 years of experience, or a Master's Degree.
• Knowledge of target environments, performance criteria, and competitive issues in product marketing requirements.

Preferred Skills

• PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related thermal sciences.
• Experience with high-speed flow simulation and various CFD solver techniques.
• Familiarity with parallel computing, GPUs, Shell scripting, Python, Scheme, compilers, and Git.
