Description

You will drive research and development to improve aerospace transparency systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop improvements for existing aerospace transparency systems and manufacturing techniques.
• Design and implement robotics and automation to streamline production processes.
• Measure, document, and improve current manufacturing process capabilities.
• Apply data-driven approaches to stabilize processes and reduce scrap, rework, and costs.
• Create process flow maps and provide manufacturing operators with necessary tools, equipment, and documentation.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Experience with Automation and Robotics.
• Knowledge of relevant programming languages for robotics.
• Proficiency in DOE, FMEA, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a STEM or related field.
• Ability to perform complex assignments involving new product or process development.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Skills

• SolidWorks and Microsoft Project experience.
• Six Sigma concepts and application.
