Description

You will lead the design and development of software architecture for complex broadband systems and components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture design by creating blueprints that guide development teams.
• Design new software and web applications, support ongoing development, and customize existing solutions.
• Develop software update processes and assist with the roll-out of software releases.
• Test and evaluate systems, subsystems, and components in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
• Present and defend architectural and technical choices to internal and external audiences.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of experience in broadband device development and related components.
• Expertise in C and C++ programming.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, including kernel configuration, kernel modules, and system programming.
• Experience with device drivers and low-level hardware, including CPU architectures and memory management.
• Proficiency with the Yocto build system and building/customizing Linux distributions.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
• Experience with Git for version control and Bash for automation scripting.
• Understanding of wireless technologies, specifically Wi-Fi and wireless interface configuration.
• Familiarity with security best practices, including encryption and authentication.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with web server technologies and web-based user interfaces.
• Active participation in the RDK-B community.
