Description

Lead the design and development of software architecture for broadband components and complex embedded systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design software architecture and create blueprints to guide development teams.
• Develop new software and web applications, supporting them through customization.
• Build software update processes and assist with release roll-outs.
• Test and evaluate systems, subsystems, and components in collaboration with QA.
• Present and defend architectural and technical choices to internal and external audiences.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in broadband architecture or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for RDK-B development.
• Extensive experience with RDK-B, STB, and GStreamer.
• Deep understanding of Linux, including kernel customization, device drivers, and system programming.
• Hands-on experience with the Yocto build system.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
• Experience with LAN, MAN, WAN, DOCSIS, PON, DSL, and 5G technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with Git, Atlassian tools, and Linux administration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS, LDAP, and mail server configuration.
• Familiarity with wireless technologies and Wi-Fi interface configuration.
