Description

You will provide L3 BAU engineering support for critical national infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Manage hardware, software, and user faults within predefined SLAs using queue-based systems.
• Execute OS updates and version upgrades for minor and major releases using automation.
• Maintain server security by applying patches and adhering to industry security standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and manage problem lifecycles.
• Manage backups and restores using ReaR and maintain golden images for DR activities.
• Configure SAN disks, multipathing, LVM filesystems, and HBA drivers.
• Build and migrate physical and virtual servers across Hyper-V and VMware.
• Manage Red Hat Satellite content views and automate VLAN/hostgroup creation via Ansible.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux engineering.
• Expert knowledge of RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Hands-on experience with RPM upgrades, kernel management, and LVM.
• Proficiency with SFTP, HAProxy, DNS, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience implementing ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Ability to participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to meet requirements for SC clearance.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Citrix (7.15+), PVS, or NetScaler.
• Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH), PowerShell, CyberArk, ServiceNow, SQL, NetBackup, Rubrik, Windows Server (2016/2019), or Oracle.
