You will provide L3 BAU engineering support for critical national infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
Manage hardware, software, and user faults within predefined SLAs using queue-based systems.
Execute OS updates and version upgrades for minor and major releases using automation.
Maintain server security by applying patches and adhering to industry security standards.
Perform root cause analysis and manage problem lifecycles.
Manage backups and restores using ReaR and maintain golden images for DR activities.
Configure SAN disks, multipathing, LVM filesystems, and HBA drivers.
Build and migrate physical and virtual servers across Hyper-V and VMware.
Manage Red Hat Satellite content views and automate VLAN/hostgroup creation via Ansible.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in Linux engineering.
Expert knowledge of RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible Automation Platform.
Hands-on experience with RPM upgrades, kernel management, and LVM.
Proficiency with SFTP, HAProxy, DNS, and networking fundamentals.
Experience implementing ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Ability to participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to meet requirements for SC clearance.
Any Graduate degree.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Citrix (7.15+), PVS, or NetScaler.
Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH), PowerShell, CyberArk, ServiceNow, SQL, NetBackup, Rubrik, Windows Server (2016/2019), or Oracle.
