Description

You will manage and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments to ensure system stability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to meet industry standards.
• Implement automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline administration tasks.
• Configure and maintain Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other RHEL ecosystem tools.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage NFS setup and mount points.
• Configure cron jobs for both systems and applications and maintain disaster recovery solutions.

Required Skills

• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator certification with a valid certification number.
• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Ansible, Bash, and Python for automation.
• Experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Servers and Oracle Database Servers.
• Deep understanding of Linux configuration and performance tuning.
• Ability to troubleshoot at the Operating System, database, and application levels.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vSphere hosted RHEL Servers and Rubrik backup systems.
• Knowledge of Apache Web Servers, Progress 4GL, and Elastic Search.
• Experience working in environments requiring 24/7 system availability.
