Description

You will provide comprehensive nursing care within a multi-unit facility covering long-term care, memory care, and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians while monitoring for side effects.
• Assess residents using biological, physical, and behavioral science principles to document and report changes in condition.
• Develop and participate in resident care planning, MDS documentation, and nursing notes.
• Manage nursing unit tasks including transcribing orders, maintaining controlled substance counts, and distributing nurse aide assignments.
• Respond to medical emergencies and codes, providing appropriate clinical decision-making.

Required Skills

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
• 5+ years of nursing experience.
• Proficiency in Long-Term Care (LTC) environments.
• Experience with EMR and MatrixCare systems.
• BLS and CPR certifications.
• Ability to operate medical equipment and AV equipment within licensure scope.
• Capability to lift and transfer residents weighing between 100 and 500+ pounds using gait belts or mechanical devices.
• Strong clinical judgment for complex decision-making and resident assessment.
• Ability to maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, state, and Veterans' Administration rules.
