Manage end-to-end release governance for GCP platform and onboarding initiatives, including release planning, change approvals, go/no-go decisions, rollback procedures, and hypercare support.
Define and enforce quality gates for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and platform changes, including test strategies, regression testing coverage, environment promotion criteria, and peer review standards.
Lead release readiness activities and post-release validation, including cutover planning, smoke testing, monitoring verification, and incident coordination during release windows.
Establish and maintain standards for release documentation and evidence collection, including change records, test results, approvals, and deployment traceability aligned with compliance requirements.
Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across IAM, networking, security, compliance, platform engineering, and application teams, ensuring timely decision-making and issue resolution.
Analyze recurring release issues, identify process gaps, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement through corrective actions and automation.
Define operational handoff processes, including runbooks, support models, SLAs, and knowledge base documentation to ensure production readiness.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience in Release Management, Release Governance, Testing, or Change Management.
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Expertise in release planning, testing governance, quality assurance, and deployment controls.
Experience managing releases in regulated enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), change management, and audit/compliance requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platform rollouts and large-scale onboarding programs.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation.
Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
