You will design, build, and maintain software solutions for collaborative research projects.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, timescales, priorities, and milestones for software delivery and documentation.
• Construct, test, and document maintainable software solutions to meet project requirements.
• Install, configure, and upgrade scientific software applications within Linux-based HPC, data analytics, and cognitive computing environments.
• Manage and support software development environments using environment modules, containers, and other management tools.
• Collaborate with Senior Research Software Engineers and researchers to contribute to research funding bids.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development or research software engineering.
• Experience with the delivery of collaborative software projects.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and software configuration.
• Experience working in High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
• Knowledge of data analytics and cognitive computing environments.
• Hands-on experience with containers and environment modules for software management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
