Description

You will act as a resident engineer supporting network design and implementation for customers.

Responsibilities

• Gather network information through workshops to define existing designs and technical requirements for new network builds.
• Test new tools and features in a lab environment, developing plans to verify functionality on live networks.
• Apply patches and fixes to operating software across pre-production and live networks per implementation plans.
• Conduct technology workshops with customers to discuss equipment/network problems and provide status updates with workarounds.
• Support design and planning for Juniper MX, QFX, EX series solutions within the customer's commercial network.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years experience implementing and supporting networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services.
• Proficiency with IP/Routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, and Routing Policy.
• Experience with VPNs and tunneling technologies (MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, VPLS).
• Familiarity with Ethernet switching, 802.1Q, and QOS.
• Experience with JUNOS CLI across MX, QFX, EX series.
• Demonstrated ability to script using Python, Slax, Shell, or Awk.
• Knowledge of network management tools such as SNMP and Syslog.
• Understanding of Service Provider architecture.
• Strong ability to communicate technical status and manage risk independently and in a team.
