Description

Manage the end-to-end Work in Progress (WIP) to Cash cycle, from time entry and rate arrangements through billing and accounts receivable.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full WIP to Cash cycle, including time entry, pricing, billing oversight, and A/R collections.
• Act as the liaison between accounting and legal professionals for rate negotiations, proposals, and information requests.
• Provide leadership to Billing and AR/Collection Managers on policies and internal controls.
• Identify revenue opportunities and minimize leakage through root cause analysis.
• Develop strategies to optimize personnel performance and conduct quarterly WIP and AR reporting.

Required Skills

• 4-year Accounting or Business degree.
• Deep understanding of professional service revenue cycles and profitability drivers.
• Extensive knowledge of legal industry billing scenarios, client guidelines, and e-billing.
• Experience with matter management and technology solutions in the WIP to Cash cycle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AmLaw 200 software (Aderant, 3E, Elite, or IntApp Open).
• Ability to advise senior leadership and implement process improvements.

Preferred Skills

• 5-10+ years of progressive experience in a legal or professional service organization.
• Familiarity with business intelligence applications such as Bill Blast Analytics.
