Description

Analyze Android applications and SDKs to detect malicious behavior through unpacking and reverse engineering.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic analysis on binaries and APKs to identify security vulnerabilities and policy violations.
• Use reverse engineering tools to uncover techniques used by malicious actors to tamper with devices.
• Conduct code reviews to identify improper coding practices and security flaws in Java, Kotlin, and JavaScript.
• Write complex technical reports for non-technical audiences regarding findings and threats.
• Collaborate with the team to research threats and develop detection signatures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in reverse engineering or security analysis.
• Proficiency with Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, and Burp Suite.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of Android internals and mobile security topics.
• Experience with APK and SDK analysis.
• Knowledge of cryptography, authentication security, rooting, and packing.
• Ability to analyze source code and understand network protocols and interception.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing Yara signatures.
• Research experience using OSINT tools like VirusTotal, ExploitDB, and MITRE to track APTs.
