Lead technical execution for large-scale radio network design, implementation, and optimization projects in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical organization and oversight for major metropolitan or statewide radio network projects.
- Design network cell plans, including tilt/azimuth optimization and new site location proposals.
- Perform event analysis to resolve accessibility, retainability, and handover success rate issues.
- Tune loaded networks by analyzing drive test data and implementing parameter changes or feature activations.
- Execute model tuning and Monte Carlo Analysis to improve overall network design quality.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in radio network design, implementation, or tuning.
- BSEE/BSCS or equivalent applicable experience.
- Proven leadership experience across at least four projects, including one large-scale technical lead role.
- Hands-on experience with 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, and LAA.
- Expertise in 4G LTE, IoT, CBRS, and multi-vendor environments.
- Proficiency with planning tools such as Planet EV and Atoll, including ACP tool usage.
- Deep understanding of link budgets and Layer 3 messaging for 4G and 5G.
- Experience with optimization tools including TEMS Investigation, Actix, Agilent, and R&S.
- Technical knowledge of Ericsson ENM and optimization tool operations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience implementing and experimenting with RAN features relative to traffic analysis.
- Ability to travel extensively within the US.
