Description

You will design, build, and administer RHEL environments for performance and stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Linux systems across physical and virtualized infrastructure.
• Manage RHEL upgrades, OS patching, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure and manage Satellite servers, Ansible, and kernel tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot L2 and L3 issues related to permissions, network connectivity, and file system corruption.
• Handle user and group administration, including profile management and permission control.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Unix/Linux engineering and administration experience.
• Deep expertise in RHEL 7 and RHEL 8 administration.
• Proficiency in file system management, including mounting, exporting, and running fsck.
• Experience with RAID levels and the Linux booting process.
• Performance tuning using iostat, sar, vmstat, and top.
• Job scheduling via cron and at.
• Experience with Ansible and Satellite server configuration.

Preferred Skills

• Extensive Shell Scripting experience for infrastructure automation.
• Solaris administration and Veritas volume manager experience.
