Description

Manage and maintain Solaris and RedHat Linux environments, focusing on Sparc architecture and enterprise hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Build and configure Solaris servers on Sparc architecture.
  • Troubleshoot Solaris operating system and hardware issues, including Oracle SPARC, Sun Fire, and Sun SPARC Enterprise hardware.
  • Manage Solaris 11 OS patching, Live Upgrade, and SVM.
  • Administer users, groups, Samba services, and printer configurations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ZFS and zpools.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of Solaris 11 and RedHat Linux administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Solaris LDOM, Oracle, and SVM.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting.
  • Deep understanding of ZFS/zpools.
  • Experience with Samba troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.
