Description

You will build and maintain streaming applications for the Roku platform, owning the development lifecycle from architecture to certification.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Roku applications using Brightscript and the Roku SDK.
• Design and implement application architecture to ensure scalability and performance.
• Debug and resolve platform-specific issues, including Brightscript debugging.
• Manage Roku deployment processes and channel certification workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers on Roku development best practices and provide on-call support for critical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on Roku applications.
• Proficiency in Brightscript and the Roku SDK.
• Experience with Roku SceneGraph for user interface development.
• Hands-on experience with Roku Media Player.
• Understanding of video streaming protocols such as HLS and DASH.
• Knowledge of DRM technologies and analytics/telemetry integration.
• Ability to navigate Roku deployment and certification workflows.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
