You will build and maintain scalable, distributed software applications within an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Build performance-sensitive systems capable of serving tens of millions of requests daily.
• Develop mid-tier services within a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Document, test, and modify systems to maintain high standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience building highly scalable and distributed services.
• Proficiency with Postgres and other relational databases.
• Experience working with APIs.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies.
• Experience using GitHub for version control.
• Working knowledge of Linux and VIM.
• Experience with Agile development methods.
