Description

Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems within a SaaS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
• Architect new features and define migration strategies to support platform growth.
• Conduct code reviews to uphold engineering standards and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Manage incident response, including root cause investigation and permanent resolution.
• Design and implement maintainable APIs for internal and external integrations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing and operating web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with test design and tools such as RSpec, MiniTest, Jest, or Playwright.
• Experience with service-oriented or microservices architecture.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• In-depth expertise in designing and maintaining microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, React, or Vue.js.
