Description

You will develop and maintain complex applications on the IBMi platform, owning high-complexity projects from design through release.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using all versions of RPG and CL on the IBMi.
• Implement binding directories, binder source, prototypes, sub-procedures, and service programs.
• Manage activation group usage and design data-centric architectures.
• Optimize system performance by tuning DB2 native commands and SQL.
• Evaluate technical risks and determine downstream impacts of data and facts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on RPG programming and development experience.
• Expert knowledge of RPG and CL on the IBMi.
• Proficiency with binding directories, binder source, prototypes, and sub-procedures.
• Experience with service programs and appropriate activation group usage.
• Strong command of DB2 native commands, SQL, and SEQUEL.
• Experience implementing embedded SQL, stored procedures, web services, and APIs.
• Knowledge of DDM, FTP, SFTP, and XML.
