Description

Build and maintain complex, scalable backend systems using Ruby and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices using event-driven architecture, CQRS, and Domain Driven Design.
• Build and scale RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop normalized (3NF) relational SQL databases.
• Write functional tests, including unit, integration, and system tests.
• Apply OOP and functional programming paradigms to long-term software projects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building complex, scalable backend systems.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing in Ruby.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience building microservices in Node.js or Deno.
• Proficiency in designing normalized (3NF) relational SQL databases.
• Experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs at scale.
• Experience with React or other unidirectional data flow frameworks.
• Knowledge of TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with functional programming paradigms.
