Description

You will build and maintain services within a scrum team focused on service delivery, resiliency, and interoperability for a middle office platform.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design of scalable applications.
• Participate in design and code reviews with senior staff.
• Collaborate with other technologists to create and contribute to reusable code and services.
• Shape best practices for developing, sharing, and improving the software platform.
• Develop subject matter expertise in specific functional areas of the platform.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design.
• Backend development experience using Ruby and the Rails framework.
• Experience with containerization.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using RSpec.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture and architectural patterns.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Java, Angular, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and processes.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the Securities or Financial Services domain.
