Description

You will design and build scalable applications for a middle office platform within a scrum team focused on service delivery and interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design of scalable, high-performing applications and lead design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with technologists to create reusable code and services.
• Develop subject matter expertise in specific functional areas of the platform.
• Shape best practices for developing, sharing, and improving the software platform.
• Ensure service resiliency and interoperability within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive experience with Ruby and the Rails application framework.
• Proficiency in RSpec for Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design.
• Experience with containerization and microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of Java, Angular, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the Securities or Financial Services domain.
